UTSA to welcome Connecticut on Thursday, then open SLC play this weekend

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women’s tennis team begins a busy week of action on Thursday when it hosts Connecticut at the UTSA Tennis Center. The Roadrunners then open Southland Conference play at Nicholls State and Southeastern Louisiana this weekend.

After a two-week lay off, UTSA returns to action riding a three-match winning streak and sports a 5-2 record.

The Huskies, 3-4 on the season, are coming off a 4-3 win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday.

The Colonels, who stand at 3-4 this year, have won their last two matches against Xaiver (7-0) and Austin Peay (6-1). Nicholls State dropped last season’s meeting against UTSA, 7-0.

The Lady Lions have won four consecutive matches and are 7-2 this season. Southeastern Louisiana took last year’s meeting, 5-2, in San Antonio.
