Women?s golf to open season south of the border

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women’s golf team kicks off its 2007 season when it travels south of the border for the Baja Invitational in Ensenada, Mexico. The two-day tournament begins on Monday.

The Roadrunners capped off the fall season on a high note with a fourth-place finish at the Ellingson Invitational on Oct. 24.

Junior transfer Lesan Gouge made an immediate impact during the fall, as she led the team with a 78.42 stroke average. Sophomore Laura Baker’s 79.17 stroke average ranked second the squad.
