SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA women’s track and field team returns to action this Friday-Saturday, Jan. 26-27, at the Roger Cox Multis and Dan DeHart Invitational hosted by the University of New Mexico at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
The women’s pentathlon gets underway at 11 a.m. (CT) on Friday, while the Dan DeHart Invitational kicks off with running events at 11 a.m. Saturday. Live results will be available at here.
The Roadrunners will compete against teams from Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, California, Cal Poly, Colorado State, Houston, Kansas, Kansas State, Long Beach State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Texas, Texas Tech, Wayland Baptist, Western State and Wyoming.
Junior Brittany Epps highlighted an abbreviated debut for UTSA as last weekend’s Texas Tech Invitational in Lubbock, winning the long jump with an 18-2 1/2 measure. Freshman Jessica Jones cruised to an 8.87 clocking in the 60-meter hurdles prelims, the second-fastest time of the day. UTSA cut short its appearance at the meet, leaving town before heavy snow inundated the area on Saturday.
