SAN ANTONIO - The schedule for this weekend's Southland Conference Tournament has been set and No. 4 seed UTSA (19-12) will face fifth-seeded Texas State (14-16) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the Convocation Center.
The two teams will play for the second time in a little over a week, as the Roadrunners won a five-game thriller last Thursday night at the Convocation Center (30-20, 24-30, 30-26, 29-31, 17-15). The Bobcats won the other meeting between the two squads this year, another five-gamer played on Oct. 5 at Strahan Coliseum.
A victory would propel UTSA into the second semifinal match on Saturday evening (5 p.m.) against the winner of Friday's quarterfinal contest between top seed Stephen F. Austin and No. 8 Northwestern State.
The annual event is scheduled to begin at with four matches on Friday, Nov. 17, and conclude with Sunday's championship match at 2 p.m. For complete information on this year's tournament, click here.
UTSA is hosting the tournament for the third time in school history (1992 & 2003 are the others) and the winner earns the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
