FRISCO – UTSA junior Rachel Francis earned Aeropostale/SLC Goalkeeper of the Week honors, the league’s office announced on Tuesday.
Francis registered a match-high 12 saves in the team’s 2-1 victory at Sam Houston State last Friday night. The 12 saves tied her career high set earlier in the season at Texas A&M (Aug. 27).
The Lancaster native has posted five shutouts this season and collected 105 saves (.784 save pct.), en route to leading UTSA to a second-place finish in the SLC standings.
Francis and the No. 2 seed Roadrunners travel to San Marcos for the 2006 Southland Conference Tournament on Nov. 2-5 at the Bobcat Soccer Complex. UTSA will play the winner of the Stephen F. Austin/McNeese State game at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov.
