AUSTIN – The UTSA men’s tennis team wrapped up day one at the Texas Invitational held in the Penink-Allison Tennis Center.
In the main draw, Junior Adam Becker dropped his opening round match to Texas A&M’s John Nallon, 6-2, 6-0, while freshmen Nenad Maric and Ty Lunn fell in straights set of their first round match.
In the men’s singles consolation bracket, Becker cruised past Lamar’s Devin Harley, 6-0, 6-1, but fell in the quarterfinals to St. Edward’s Jacob Walley. Lunn was handed a 6-2, 6-0 loss by Lamar’s Macjiek Bogusz in the third round of consolation play.
