KERRVILLE – The UTSA men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the UTSA Invitational after carding a final round 866 on Tuesday at the Comanche Trace Golf Course.
Junior Thomas Kearny ended his day one stroke behind leaders Peter O’Keeffe from Southeastern Louisiana, Robert Gwin from Sam Houston State and Keegan Bradley from St. John’s in the individual standings. Kearny fired a final round of 209 for the tournament. Senior Matt Johnston finished tied for 14th place with a score of 75-70-73=218. Junior Nick Olivarri and sophomore Kyle Collins ended their day tied for 20th and 36th place, respectively, while junior Philipp Krohn turned in a final round 225 for 38th place.
Also in action was junior Shane Costelloe, who ended his day with a final round 218 for 14th place and junior Sean Burch ended the tournament tied for 44th, after firing a 226. Senior Kitt Thabungkan and freshman Phillip Hui were tied for 49th place with a 229 total round.
The Roadrunners return to action on Nov. 5-7 when they travel to Toledo Bend, La., for the Battle of the Bend Invitational.
