KERRVILLE – The UTSA men’s golf team stands in fourth place after firing a 292-283=575 after day one of the UTSA Invitational at the Comanche Trace Golf Course.
Junior Thomas Kearney is tied for first place in the individual standings after turning in a 68-67=135, while senior Matt Johnston is tied for 17th with a score of 75-70=145. Juniors Nick Olivari and Phillip Krohn stand in 26th and 36th place, respectively. Also in action was sophomore Kyle Collins, who capped off his day in 48th place with a score of 75-77=152.
In individual play, junior Shane Costelloe is tied for 13th place after carding a 74-70=144, while junior Sean Burch finished his day tied for 36th with final total of 149. Freshman Phillip Hui had a 74-77=151 day (47th place). Senior Kitt Thabungkan ended his day with a score of 77-76=153 (t-49th place).
Final round of the UTSA Invitational begins at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
