NEWPORT, R.I. - The UTSA men’s golf team finished in sixth place after a final round of 313 at the Adams Cup of Newport on Wednesday afternoon.
The Roadrunners had three players finished in the top 20. Junior Philipp Krohn lead the way with an 11th-place finish after firing a final round total 72-73-80=225 (+9). Nick Olivarri and Shane Costelloe where one (+10) and two strokes (+11) behind Krohn, respectively. Sophomore Kyle Collins ended the tournament tied for 32nd with a score of 75-77-79=231 and junior Sean Burch finished tied for 57th with a 83-75-82=240 (+24).
The Roadrunners return to action at the Crown Colony Classic, hosted by Stephen F. Austin, on Oct. 9-10 in Lufkin.
