LONG BEACH, Calif. - The UTSA men's golf team finished in sixth place at the 11th Annual Del Walker Intercollegiate held at the Virginia Country Club.
Sophomore Kyle Collins paced the Roadrunners with a third-place finish after carding a 69-70-74=213 (E). Junior Thomas Kearney ended the tournament tied for 30th after shooting a 68-71-80=219 (+6), while junior Shane Costelloe was tied for 36th with a final round total 220 (+7). Nick Olivarri finished one stroke behind Costelloe and senior Matt Johnston concluded with a 230 (+17).
The team returns to action at the Adams Cup of Newport on Sept. 26-27 at the Newport National Golf Course in Newport, R.I.
