DENTON – The UTSA women’s golf team carded a 309 after first-round action at the North Texas Women’s Classic at the Robson Ranch Golf Course.
The Roadrunners were led by sophomore Laura Baker, who is tied for 10th after shooting a 36-39=75 (+3). Baker is four stokes behind Ida Svenningsson from McLennan CC.
Freshman Madison McClain finished the day tied for 14th place after a 40-37=77 (+5). Junior Lesan Gouge finished in 23rd place with a 39-39=78 (+6), while freshman Shelly Martinez trails Gouge by one stroke and a 24th-place finish. Sophomore Allie Jordan stands tied for 32nd place after carding a 40-41=81 (+9).
UTSA concludes the North Texas Women’s Classic tomorrow morning with an 8:30 tee time.
