Meanwhile, Vese finished in sixth place (14.19) in his preliminary heat and earned the final qualifying spot in the evening semifinals. However, the Houston native ran a 14.27 in the semis and did not advance to Friday's final. UTSA's other athlete at the national meet, sophomore Steven Brown, finished 14th in the long jump (7.46m) and did not advance to the finals. |
