SAN ANTONIO - The Southland Conference regular season and tournament champion UTSA softball team will host a watch party on Sunday, May 14, at 2:30 p.m. at Fox and Hound English Pub & Grille located at 2651 Vance Jackson Road, Ste 110, near the corner of DeZavala Road.
The NCAA Division I Softball Selection Show airs live on ESPNews at 2:30 Central time. The format consists of 16 four-team regionals on May 18-20 or 19-21 leading into eight super regionals on May 26-27, all on campus sites. The eight super regional winners advance to the Women’s College World Series held June 1-7 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The Roadrunners are 37-12 on the season and earned the automatic bid from the Southland Conference after running the table in the SLC Tournament last weekend in Natchitoches, La. UTSA defeated Nicholls State (4-3), McNeese State (3-0), and Texas-Arlington twice (7-5 [9], 8-3), slugging a tournament record 14 home runs. UTSA made the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2004 at the Waco Regional.
