Contact: Carlos Valdez (210) 458-4930 UTSA men's tennis set to host SLC foe Texas-Arlington SAN ANTONIO - UTSA (7-8, 3-1 SLC) plays host to SLC rival Texas-Arlington Mavericks this Saturday at 11 a.m. at the UTSA Tennis Center.
Last Outing
The UTSA men’s tennis team posted two win last weekend, March 25 against Lamar and March 26 versus Texas Southern. In their first match, the Roadrunners defeated Southland Conference opponent Lamar, 6-1, on March 25 in Beaumont, Texas. They continued their winning ways with a 5-2 win over Texas-Southern in a non-conference match up on March 26 in Houston, Texas.
Opponent
Texas-Arlington comes to town after defeating No. 58 Southeastern Louisiana, 4-3, in Arlington, Texas. The Mavericks are 8-5 overall and 3-0 in SLC play. UTA is 3-2 in its last five matches.
Last Meeting
UTSA and UTA split their matches last season. In their first meeting, the Mavericks won a close match, 4-3, in Arlington, Texas on March 27. The Roadrunners bounced out UTA with a 4-3 win in the 2005 SLC tournament in San Antonio, Texas at the UTSA Tennis Center on April 23.
