UTSA men's tennis scored a 5-2 win over Texas Southern in non-conference action

HOUSTON - The UTSA men's tennis team handed Texas Southern a 5-2 loss in non-conference tennis action March 26 at the TSU Tennis Courts in Houston, Texas.

In doubles action, UTSA won all three matches to clinch the doubles point. Adam Becker and Robin Fernandes paired up for a 9-8 thriller against Ivan Avila and Frank Suarez of Texas Southern. 

In singles play, UTSA won four of the six matches. Anthony Portois got the first win at the No. 2 position with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Suarez, TSU. At the No. 4 slot Fernandes rolled past Franciso Riveroll 7-5 and 7-6. Hetori Chaves sercured the match for UTSA with 6-0, 2-6 and 7-6 win over Mateusz Wodzinkski of Texas Southern. Joe Olfindo picked up a straight set win at the No. 6 position (6-0, 6-0).
