Sissel named Aeropostale/SLC Men’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week

PLANO, Texas – UTSA senior T.R. Sissel has been named Aeropostale/Southland Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Sissel punched his ticket to the NCAA Midwest Regional for the fourth straight year with a regional-qualifying time of 51.91 to win the 400-meter hurdles at the UTSA Relays over the weekend, beating Andrew Carruthers of the Santa Monica Track Club to the line by .28 seconds. Sissel also ran the second leg on UTSA's victorious 4x400m relay team that clocked a 3:10.99, beating Southwestern Christian (3:12.88), Houston (3:13.84) and Texas State
(3:13.84) to the finish line.

The Roadrunners return to the track this Saturday, March 25, when the compete in the Texas Invitational in Austin.
