SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The UTSA baseball team hits the road this weekend for a three-game series against future Southland Conference (SLC) member Texas A&M-Corpus Christi beginning Feb 25 at Islander Field in Corpus Christi, Texas. First pitch in game one of a Saturday doubleheader is slated for 1 p.m.
The Roadrunners are coming a 5-0 loss to Big 12 member Baylor Bears on Feb. 21 at the Baylor Ballpark in Waco, Texas. UTSA is 3-5 on the year, while TAMU-CC is 4-6 and has dropped its last two contests.
Last season, the Runners and Islanders played five times with TAMU-CC winning all five meetings and tying the all-time series at 9-9.
UTSA and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi open the series Feb. 25 with a doubleheader set for 1 p.m. The series will conclude on Sunday Feb. 26 at 1 p.m.
UTSA will then travel to Dallas, Texas, for a three-game set against Dallas Baptist on March 2-4.
