CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The UTSA women’s golf team finished 16th at the Ed Hicks Nissan Islander Spring Classic held Monday-Tuesday at Corpus Christi Country Club (6,110 yards / par 72).
The Roadrunners fired rounds of 343, 342 and 333 for a 54-hole total of 1,018. Arkansas Little-Rock won the team title with a 297-303-299=899, followed by Redlands (907) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (920).
Individually, freshman Jenna Wessels was the top finisher, tying for 70th with a 79-83-87=249. Freshman Allie Jordan tied for 75th (85-84-83=252), while freshman Laura Baker was 78th (255). Sophomore Michelle Kowalick finished 84th (262) and freshman Neely Hutchins was 85th (271).
Camila Sola of Redlands won the individual title with a 69-71-74=214.
The Roadrunners host the UTSA Rowdy Round-Up on March 20-21 at Buckhorn Golf Club in Comfort, Texas. |
