SAN ANTONIO - The UTSA men’s golf team is set to host the 10th annual UTSA Intercollegiate on Monday-Tuesday, Feb. 20-21, at Oak Hills Country Club (6,691 yards / par 71).

The Roadrunners will compete against Baylor, College of Charleston, DePaul, Illinois State, Lamar, Louisiana-Monroe, Marshall, Navy, Nebraska, New Orleans, Northern Iowa, Rice, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas-Pan American, UTSA, Wichita State. Two-time defending champion Kansas will not make the trip.

The players will play 36 holes on Monday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday with tee times starting at 8 a.m. Admission is free.

UTSA is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Rice Intercollegiate in its first spring event of the season. Senior John Elizondo led the way, tying for fifth place with a 54-hole total of 220, just one stroke behind a four-way tie for first. Freshman Kyle Collins tied for 21st with a 226 while sophomore transfer Thomas Kearney was 35th with a 229.

Kearney leads the Roadrunners in overall scoring average with a 74.67 mark including the fall season. Elizondo is second with a 74.87, while junior Matt Johnston is third (75.33).
