ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – One day after winning the pentathlon with a school record-breaking performance, senior All-American Ryanne Dupree broke her own school standard in the 60-meter hurdles to highlight action for the UTSA women’s track and field team Saturday at the New Mexico Invitational held at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Dupree followed her impressive, 4,035-point showing in the Zia Classic pentathlon with an 8.44 clocking to win the 60m hurdles ahead of the Florida duo of Nene Kamate (8.60) and Jenna Utecht (8.69). Junior teammate Lyndsey Sidney was fourth with an 8.86 clocking. Her 8.44 bettered her previous UTSA record of 8.51 set at the 2005 Southland Conference Championships and was just .01 seconds off the NCAA provisional-qualifying mark.

Dupree also posted a third-place measure of 19-2 ľ in the long jump, while junior Morgan Moszee was fifth with a 19-2 effort. Moszee also finished eighth in the 60m in 7.72, just behind freshman Shanelle Slaughter, who finished seventh in 7.68.

In the 800m, junior transfer Hope Jimenez finished third among collegians with a 2:18.48 clocking just ahead of junior Diane Smith’s fourth-place time of 2:18.86.

The 4x400m relay team took fourth with a 3:59.14 clocking.

The Roadrunners return to action next Saturday, Feb. 4, when they compete in the Houston Indoor Classic.
