SAN ANTONIO - Senior Rita Lambert and juniors Veronica Silva and Cornelio Castanon will represent the UTSA cross country teams at the NCAA South Central Regional on Saturday at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco, Texas.

The men’s 10,000-meter run kicks off at 10 a.m., followed by the women’s 6,000m at 11:15 a.m. Complete meet information and results can be found on the official web site for Baylor Athletics at http://baylorbears.collegesports.com.

Lambert and Silva helped lead the Roadrunner women to a fifth-place finish at the Southland Conference Championships on Oct. 31. Lambert, a two-time SLC Athlete of the Week and UTSA’s No. 1 finisher in five-of-six meets, was 22nd in 23:51.

Castanon, a transfer from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, led the UTSA men to a seventh-place team finish at the SLC Championships, placing 20th in 26:51. He also was UTSA’s top finisher at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree on Oct. 1, taking 95th overall.
