EDINBURG, Texas - The UTSA women’s golf team concluded its debut fall campaign with a seventh-place finish at the Bronc Classic hosted by Texas-Pan American on Monday-Tuesday at Los Lagos Golf Club (6,134 yards / par 72).

The Roadrunners turned in rounds of 326, 322 and 338 for a 54-hole total of 988. North Texas won the team title at 302-305-301—908, followed by Oklahoma City (304-311-302—917) and Texas State (306-305-306—917), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (311-306-301—918), Texas-Pan American (322-308-301—931) and McClennan Community College (315-314-312—941).

Individually, sophomore transfer Stephanie Perez (Friendswood, Texas/Troy) finished 24th with a three-round total of 79-80-80—239. Freshman Laura Baker (Victoria, Texas/Memorial HS) was close behind in 30th (86-79-83—248), while sophomore Michelle Kowalick (Missouri City, Texas/Elkins HS) was 31st (82-78-89—249). Freshman Allie Jordan (Monahans, Texas) tied for 32nd (81-85-86—252) and freshman Neely Hutchins (Castroville, Texas/Medina Valley HS) placed 36th (90-99-90—279).

Christine Brijalba of Texas State was the individual medalist at three-over 73-73-73—219, just ahead of Mary Betancourt of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (74-70-76—220).

The Roadrunners open the spring slate on Feb. 19-21 at the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi.
