SAN ANTONIO - Collegiate men's tennis players representing UTSA, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas-Pan American, St. Edward’s, Texas Southern and Tyler Junior College will be in town this weekend to participate in the 2005 UTSA Men's Tennis Invitational which will feature both singles and doubles play.
Play will get underway this Friday, Oct. 7 at 9 a.m., with action continuing through Sunday at the UTSA Tennis Center. Admission is free.
So far during the fall semester, UTSA has been led by the play of freshman Andre Moreira. Last weekend the Roadrunners received strong outings from Hetori Chaves, Adam Becker and Joe Michael Olfindo, with each reaching the quarterfinal of their flight at the HEB Baylor Intercollegiate Tournament in Waco, Texas.
