UTSA Triangular Relay set for Friday at Olmos Park
SAN ANTONIO - The University of Texas at San Antonio cross country teams will host the UTSA Triangular Relay on Friday, Sept. 2, at Olmos Park. The Roadrunners will compete against teams from Texas State and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the season opener for all three schools. Admission is free.
The women’s 3xmile relay begins at 6 p.m., followed by the men’s 5xmile at 6:45. The unique format of the Triangular Relay pits two-person teams from each school participating in an alternating relay. In the women’s 3xmile, each team member will alternate one mile runs between handoffs for three turns, while the men’s 5xmile calls for two more mile legs for each runner.
