Volleyball signee named AAU All-American

SAN ANTONIO - UTSA volleyball signee Rebecca Hrapmann recently was named an All-American at the 32nd Amateur Athletic Association (AAU) Junior Nationals Girls Volleyball Championships last month in Orlando, Fla.

Hrapmann, who signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Roadrunners last November, helped lead her team — the Cajunland 18s — to a fifth-place finish out of 45 teams at the AAU Junior Nationals. The squad lost to eventual runner-up Mizuno Sports Performance 18 Red.

Hrapmann, who also was named an AAU All-American while playing with 14- and 15-year old club teams, racked up serious hardware her senior season at Cabrini High School. Among her honors were: Louisiana Volleyball Coaches Association All-State, Louisiana All-Star Team (TBP 7/20), all-district, New Orleans All-Metro, Academic All-State, Cabrini Volleyball co-MVP, Cabrini Athletics All-Around co-MVP, Clarion Herald All-Elite Team and Wendy’s Heisman Award Nominee.
