SAN ANTONIO - Juniors Meghan Chance and Ashley McDonald  have been named to the 2005 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI University Division Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country First Team.

Chance (pictured right) and McDonald were two of 10 student-athletes chosen to the first team in the district that includes the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. It marks the second straight first-team selection for Chance and the first career honor for McDonald.

Chance, a psychology major who totes a 3.96 grade point average (GPA), is a two-time Southland Conference (SLC) Women’s Indoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year.
