UTSA set for El Diablo Intercollegiate this weekend
SAN ANTONIO - The UTSA men’s golf team travels to Citrus Springs, Fla., to compete in the El Diablo Intercollegiate hosted by Marshall University this Saturday-Sunday, March 19-20, at El Diablo Golf and Country Club (7,045 yards, par 72).
The Roadrunners will battle teams from Army, Ball State, Connecticut, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Hartford, Marquette, Marshall, Murray State, Oklahoma City, Princeton, Rhode Island, Siena, Winthrop, Wright State and Yale.
UTSA is coming off a fifth-place showing at the St. Croix Collegiate Classic on March 4-6 behind an impressive outing from junior John Elizondo. The Brackenridge High product won his second career tournament with a five-under-par 211 and was named Southland Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week on March 9 for his effort.
