SAN ANTONIO - The UTSA men’s and women’s track and field teams will host the Whataburger/UTSA Relays on Friday-Saturday, March 18-19, at Virgil T. Blossom Sports Complex. Results: Complete results will be posted on the official web site for UTSA Athletics — www.goUTSA.com — following each day’s events. 2004 Whataburger Relays Rewind: The Roadrunners won 14 events at the 2004 Whataburger/UTSA Relays held at Northside Stadium. Brandon Buteaux and Kandace Traywick won the men’s decathlon and women’s heptathlon, respectively, while Ryanne Dupree won the women’s long jump and 100-meter hurdles and helped the shuttle hurdle relay to gold. T.R. Sissel won the men’s 400m hurdles and helped the 4x100m, 4x200m and shuttle hurdle relays to top honors. David Burnett and Leticia Cerna cruised to victory in the men’s 400m and women’s 1,500m, respectively. Other winners included Jeff McCoy (men’s javelin), Leticia Cerna (women’s 1,500m), Larry Brooks (men’s 800m) and Diane Smith (women’s 800m).
