UTSA improves to 7-1 with 5-2 win at Tennessee-Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - The UTSA men's tennis team continued its strong early season play by scoring a 5-2 victory at Tennessee-Chattanooga on Friday afternoon.

UTSA won four singles points as Dennis Andrade, Ricardo Almeida, Jonas Hoglund and Joe Michael Olfindo won at the No. 2 through No. 5 positions. Olfindo's 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5 over Michael Hangsteger improved his spring record to 8-0.

The Roadrunners also won the doubles point as Andrade teamed with Ricardo Almeida to win 8-6 at No. 1 over Ryan Fitzgerald and Artyom Vlasenko, while Hetori Chaves and Hoglund won at No. 2 by an 8-1 count over Hangstefer and Tim Kutschera.
