Roadrunner trio posts personal bests at NCAA Last Chance Meets Iowa State Last Chance Meet Results McDonald's Last Chance Qualifier Results
SAN ANTONIO – Juniors Brandon Buteaux and Ryanne Dupree posted NCAA provisional qualifying and personal best marks in the multi-events at the McDonald’s Last Chance Qualifier in Moscow, Idaho, while senior Rosalind Holmes improved her career best in the women’s 200 meters with a provisional qualifier at the Iowa State Last Chance Meet Saturday in Ames, Iowa.
Buteaux posted 5,373 points in the men’s heptathlon, which improves his national standing to 15th on the latest descending order list. Dupree won the women’s pentathlon with a school-record 3,979 points, placing her 14th on the national list.
Holmes clocked a 23.64 to improve her PR by 0.11 seconds in finishing second in the 200m at Iowa State’s Lied Recreation Center. The Southland Conference champion is tied for 23rd on the national list. Sophomore Larry Brooks clocked a 1:50.89 in the men’s 800m, just 0.16 seconds shy of his school record 1:50.73 set earlier this year in New York City.
The field for the NCAA Indoor Championships will be announced early this week. The meet is Friday-Saturday, March 11-12, in Fayetteville, Ark.
