Stephen F. Austin sweeps UTSA, 30-21, 30-24, 31-29

SAN ANTONIO - Sophomore Meagan Daniel (Hereford, Texas) posted her 14th double-double of the season, but it was not enough as Stephen F. Austin swept the Texas-San Antonio volleyball team, 30-21, 30-24, 31-29, on Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center.

SFA improves to 19-5 overall and 11-3 in the Southland Conference, while UTSA falls to 13-12 and 9-6.

Daniel posted 13 digs and a team-high 11 kills to lead the Roadrunners. Sophomore DeeDee Strickland (League City, Texas) pitched in with 31 assists, while sophomore Erin McMillan (San Antonio, Texas) led three players in double-digit digs with 16.

Laura Cramer and Brittany Burton posted 13 and 10 kills, respectively, to lead the Ladyjacks, while Stephanie Figgers recorded a match-high 21 digs.

SFA out hit the Roadrunners, .174-.065, and turned in nine blocks compared to seven for UTSA.

The Roadrunners host Baylor on Sunday at 2 p.m.
