Contact: Rick Nixon (210) 458-4551 Erausquin shines in singles and doubles at 2004 Collin County Open COLLIN COUNTY, Texas - Senior Paula Erausquin continued her strong fall play by capturing the number one singles flight, then teamed with Barbara Mooney to capture the number one doubles flight as well at the Collin County Open.
Erausquin claimed the singles title by winning three matches, including a final round win over teammate Massiel Martinez by a 6-2, 6-1 count. She had advanced to the finals with wins over Iliana Petrova of North Central (6-4, 6-1) in the semifinals and Chelsey Michalik of Temple (6-0, 6-0) in the quarterfinals.
The senior from Argentina won the double title as well with Mooney's help. The two combined to dominate the division by a 24-4 count in three matches, including an 8-4 win in the championship match over Heather Fuller and Petrova of North Central.
