| Aug. 23, 2004 Contact: Erin Molina (210) 458-4930 UTSA Baseball welcomes 2004-05 newcomers SAN ANTONIO - The University of Texas at San Antonio head baseball coach Sherman Corbett would like to welcome the recruiting class of 12 student-athletes for the 2005 season. A group of six freshman and six transfers who join the Roadrunners will begin fall practice on Monday, Sept. 20.
The class includes five pitchers who are Caleb Barton (Navarro, Texas/Panola JC), Art Gonzales (Lubbock, Texas/Vernon JC), Brian Pope (Corpus Christi/King), Mark Ruffin (Humble, Texas/Humble) and Noah Tritz (Spring, Texas/Southern Mississippi), catcher Tyler Johnson (Crowley, Texas/Crowley), infielders Marshal Davis (Conroe, Texas/Conroe), Matt Guzman (Corpus Christi, Texas/King) and Ryan Saltzgaber (Abilene, Texas/Kansas State) and outfielders Sean Danielson (Irving, Texas/Kansas State), Joel Doucet (Spring, Texas/Klein) and Stephen Holdren (Overland Park, Kansas/Texas A&M).
