UTSA Men's Golf team releases 2004-05 schedule 2004-05 UTSA Golf Schedule
SAN ANTONIO - The UTSA men's golf team has announced its 2004-05 schedule, highlighted by trips to St. Croix, Long Beach, Calif., and Orlando, Fla.
Fifth-year head coach Chris Donielson and the Roadrunners, winners of three tournaments during the 2003-04 campaign, open the fall season on Sept. 13-14 at the Ferrell/Cobb Mean Green Classic, hosted by North Texas at Lantana Golf Club in Denton. UTSA then competes in the Kansas Invitational on Sept. 20-21, the SMU Invitational on Oct. 4-5 and the Del Walker Collegiate in Long Beach on Nov. 4-5.
UTSA begins the spring slate with a chance to defend its title at the Rice Intercollegiate on Feb. 7-8 in Cypress, Texas. The Roadrunners then host their only home tournament of the year, the UTSA Intercollegiate on Feb. 28-March 1 at Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio.
The Roadrunners take to the air for trips to St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, for the St. Croix Collegiate Classic on March 4-6, and to Orlando for the El Diablo Intercollegiate on March 19-20, before traveling down I-35 to Laredo for the Texas A&M Border Olympics on March 25-26.
The Southland Conference Championships will be held at High Meadow Ranch Golf Club in Magnolia, Texas, for the second consecutive year on April 18-20. The NCAA Central Regional is set for May 19-21 in South Bend, Ind., and the NCAA Championships will be June 1-4 in Baltimore, Md.
