Olfindo, Hoy named to All-Southland Conference Men's Tennis squad

PLANO, Texas - Sophomore Joe Olfindo and freshman Todd Hoy have been named to the 2004 All-Southland Conference Men's Tennis second team at No. 3 doubles, the league office announced Wednesday.

Olfindo and Hoy combined were the only Roadrunners chosen to the first or second team. The duo posted a league record of 3-2 at the third doubles position. The two combined for a team-best 8-5 spring dual match record, including a 7-5 mark at No. 3. 

UTSA (9-11, 2-3 SLC) hosts the Southland Conference Men's Tennis Championship this Friday-Sunday, April 30-May 2, at the UTSA Tennis Center. The Roadrunners are the No. 4 seed and take on No. 5 Texas-Pan American in the first round on Friday at 11 a.m. The winner gets regular season champion and No. 1 seed Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the semifinals on Saturday at 11 a.m. The championship match is slated for 1 p.m. Sunday. Admission to all tournament matches is free.
