Dupree tabbed SLC Track & Field Athlete of the Week

PLANO, Texas - UTSA sophomore Ryanne Dupree has been named Southland Conference Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this year, the league office announced Tuesday.

Dupree (San Antonio, Texas/East Central) won UTSA's first-ever Texas Relays crown in the heptathlon last week in Austin, posting an NCAA provisional-qualifying 5,383 points. She defeated a solid field of 15 athletes, including Big 12 performers Ashley Selig of Nebraska (5,316) and Jordan Wellmann of Baylor (5,228). Dupree's point total leads the SLC and ranks second in the NCAA and Mid-West Region this season.

Dupree also earned the SLC weekly honor on March 24 after winning two events and finishing second in another at the Whataburger/UTSA Relays on March 19-20.

The Roadrunners return to action this Saturday, April 10, when they travel to College Station, Texas, for the A&M Invitational.
