UTSA men blank Incarnate Word, 7-0
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The UTSA men's tennis team improved to 8-9 on the season with a 7-0 blanking of Incarnate Word Thursday at the UTSA Tennis Center.
The Roadrunner won the doubles point, thanks to an 8-2 victory at No. 1 by juniors Ricardo Almeida and Dennis Andrade and a withdrawal at No. 3.
UTSA completed the sweep with wins on all six singles courts. Almeida took care of Oleg Dyachenko at No. 1, 6-4, 6-3. Junior Hetori Chaves, sophomore Joe Olfindo, freshman Todd Hoy and junior Brandon Silvester also won their matches.
UTSA hosts Texas-Arlington in a huge Southland Conference match Saturday at 11 a.m. at the UTSA Tennis Center.
