| Feb. 28, 2004 Contact: Kyle Stephens (210) 458-4907 UTSA men drop 7-0 decision at No. 11 Texas A&M COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The UTSA men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 11 Texas A&M on Saturday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.
With the loss, the Roadrunners fall to 4-5 on the season, while the Aggies improve to 10-4.
Junior Dennis Andrade (Rio De Janeiro, BRazil) lost to A&M's Ante Matijevic at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1, while junior Ricardo Almeida (Brasilia, Brazil) fell to Lester Cook at No. 2 singles, 7-6 (4), 6-4. Sophomore Jonas Hoglund (Stockholm, Sweden) also fell at No. 3, 6-2, 6-4. Andrade and sophomore Hetori Chaves (Ponta Grosa, Brazil) dropped an 8-4 match at No. 1 doubles to Brett Joelson and Marvin Rolle.
UTSA will compete in the HEB Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Friday-Sunday, March 5-7.
