COLUMBUS, Ohio — UTSA carded a 326 (+38) on Friday and the Roadrunners sit in 21st place after two rounds of plat at the NCAA Central Regional.

Sophomore Fabiola Arriaga led the Roadrunners, who own a 36-hole total of 643 (+67), with a second-round 80. The Southland Conference Player of the Year fired birdies on Nos. 9 and 15 and moved into a tie for 92nd place.

Meanwhile, a trio of players — senior Summer Batiste (78-83), junior Paola Valerio (80-81) and sophomore Taylor Newlin (77-84) — are tied for 83rd with a 161.

Batiste’s 83 was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5, 453-yard fourth hole to go along with birdies on Nos. 8 and 12.

Valerio started her day at even par before a birdie on No. 4 en route to her 81, while Newlin finished the round with an 84.

Senior Shannon Jungman rounded out UTSA's scoring and improved her first-day total by five strokes with an 82. The Pflugerville native will enter Saturday's final round tied for 116th with a 169 (87-82).

Top-seed Southern California continues to lead the field with a 588 (298-290) and the Lady Trojans’ Lisa McCloskey tops the individual leaderboard at 141 (73-68).

The final 18 holes will be played on Saturday.
