SAN MARCOS — UTSA collected 13 victories at Saturday's Texas State Play Date.
The Roadrunners won the most matches of the four competing schools after collecting 11 singles victories and two doubles at the event.
Senior Micaela Silva led UTSA with three total wins. The Lima, Peru, native teamed up with freshman Lynsey Maciolek to earn an 8-3 win against Texas State's Gabriela Rojas and Rachel Baldree.
Silva then posted back-to-back straight-sets singles triumphs to close out the event.
Junior Kavya Menon also went unbeaten on the day, racking up a pair of straight-sets wins. Meanwhile, freshman Irene Gandara Gonzalez won both of her singles matches.
