FORT WORTH — Junior Kavya Menon won a total of five matches to pace UTSA at last weekend's USTA/ITA Regionals, which was played at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Menon tallied three victories in the consolation draw, reaching the semifinals before withdrawing. She also teamed up with junior Natalie Hand to win a pair of consolation doubles matches.
Senior Stefanie Peana picked up a 6-2, 6-0 victory against Texas-Pan American's Suncica Strkic in the Round of 64 of the main singles draw to round out the Roadrunners' victories.
UTSA will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Texas State Play Date in San Marcos.
