Esteban Doria was named the Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning at UTSA in August 2019. Coach Doria joins UTSA after two seasons with the Houston Astros organization. Esteban will work as the head of strength and conditioning for UTSA baseball, as well as be the primary assistant for football.

During his tenure with the Astros, Doria served in various roles. Most recently, he was the organization’s rehabilitation strength and conditioning coach, working with long-term MLB and MiLB rehabilitation and coordinating the Latin American strength and conditioning operations. Esteban was a member of the Astros  strength and conditioning staff during their 2017 World Series Championship run.

Prior to his time with the Houston Astros, Doria worked at Maryland from 2015 to 2017 under Mike Szemborski. Doria was the head strength and conditioning coach for baseball, wrestling and women's golf programs. During his two seasons with the Terrapins baseball program, Doria assisted in developing nine MLB draftees, two All-Americans, seven All-Big Ten players, and two Big Ten Conference Players of the Year. Doria also helped develop four NCAA Qualifiers with the wrestling program after his first full year with the Terrapins, the most in the last six years at Maryland. 

Prior to the University of Maryland, Doria worked for the St. Louis Cardinals organization. During his tenure with the Cardinals, Coach Doria was an assistant strength and conditioning coach under the tutelage of Rachel Balkovec and coach Pete Prinzi. Doria coordinated the strength and conditioning efforts of the GCL Cardinals, assisting the team to a GCL East Division championship and aided in the development of GCL MVP Allen Cordoba. 

Doria received his master's degree in Exercise Physiology from LSU. During his time at LSU, Doria worked under LSU's Tommy Moffitt and current UTSA Director of Strength and Conditioning, Ryan Filo. Doria primarily assisted with the strength and conditioning implementation of LSU's baseball, football, volleyball, and women's soccer programs.

Doria received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Florida State University. During his undergraduate studies, Doria interned for FSU's football strength and conditioning program under Vic Viloria and Joseph Danos. Doria is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and has the USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach certification. Coach Doria is also Level 2 Functional Movement Certified (FMS-2) and holds the Titlest Performance Institute Level 1 Certification (TPI-1).
