Roadrunners Conclude Islander Invitational

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The UTSA women's tennis team concluded their second tournament of the season, competing in the Islander Invitational on Oct. 21-23 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
 
ISLANDER INVITATIONAL
In singles east draw A, Adeliya Mukhutdinova fell to Lamar's Noelia Lorca by set scores of 6-4 and 6-1. She then went to the west semifinals bracket, where she defeated UTEP's Zuzanna Szczepanska by set scores of 5-7, 6-1 and 6-3. She then fell to UTEP's Veronika Lebisova by 6-2, 7-5, in the west final. 
 
In the east bracket, the duo of Stanislava Bobrovnikova and Eva Beyebach fell to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Kateryna Rublevska and Sofia Pinto by a score of 8-5, to move to the west draw bracket. In the west bracket, the duo fell to UTEP's pair of Elena DiBattista and Zuzanna Szczepanska by a final score of 8 (7) - 7 (3), then heading to the south bracket. In the open doubles south draw final, Bobrovnikova and Beyebach defeated Lamar's Margarita Roshka and Jayci Wong by 8-2.

The Roadrunners prepare for their next fall tournament, heading to Huntsville, Texas, for Sam Houston State's Bearkat Invitational on Oct. 28-30.
