UTSA prepares for home opener vs. ULL

SAN ANTONIO- The Roadrunners will host their home opener Sunday at 1 p.m. at the UTSA Tennis Center, against Louisiana Lafayette.
 
UTSA (0-1) looks to regain themselves after their fall to the No.3 Texas on Friday.
 
Joao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazil) had a monster start to the season as he defeated the nation's 20th ranked player, Michah Braswell, finishing 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 in singles.
 
Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile) and Garrett Skelly (The Woodlands, Texas) claimed a win in doubles finishing 6-4 against the Texas duo Chih Chi Huang and Pierre-Yves Bailly in doubles.
 
In the last meeting against ULL, sophomore Sebastian Rodriguez (Truillo, Peru) claimed a 6-1, 6-2 win in singles as UTSA posted an overall 4-0 win (March 5, 2021). Tomorrow will be the 13th meeting between the Roadrunners and the Ragin' Cajuns.
