Roadrunners sweep Abilene Christian

SAN ANTONIO – Juri Reckow won his seventh singles point in eight tries, leading UTSA men's tennis to a 7-0 win over Abilene Christian, on Sunday afternoon at the UTSA Tennis Center. 
UTSA (6-3) won its second straight match and its fifth in the last six matches as the Roadrunners cruised past the Wildcats.
Reckow (Hamburg, Germany) improved to 7-1 in singles with a win on court 1. Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile) won 6-4, 6-1 on court 2, improving to 5-2 in singles. 
Joao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazil) posted a 7-6, 5-4 win on court 3, with Slava Gulin (Moscow, Russia) posting a 6-0, 6-4 win on court 4. 
Javier Rogriguez (Trujillo, Peru) earned a 6-1, 6-2 win on court 5, with Garrett Skelly (The Woodlands, Texas) posted a 6-2, 6-1 win on court 6. 
In doubles, UTSA won the point behind a sweep on all three courts. Sebastian Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) and Ceolin posted a win on court 1, with Reckow and Gulin claiming a court 2 win and Gonzalez and Skelly posting a 6-4 win on court 3. 
The Roadrunners will return to action on March 10, traveling to Norman, Okla., to face off with Oklahoma (6-6). The match will be televised live on Fox Sports Oklahoma. The match in Norman will mark a homecoming for UTSA head coach Sergey Avdeyev, who starred at Oklahoma as a ranked player in both singles and dobules.
