UTSA Athletics launches UTSA Letterwinners Club

SAN ANTONIO —The UTSA Athletics Department has launched the UTSA Letterwinners Club. The organization is the official former student-athlete engagement program of UTSA Athletics and encourages letterwinners to actively support each other and current UTSA student-athletes through the giving of their time, talent and treasure.

"Since my arrival on the UTSA campus, my priority has been to evaluate and improve the hundreds of initiatives housed under the department of Intercollegiate Athletics in order to transform lives as San Antonio's nationally recognized NCAA Division I program," Vice President and Athletics Director Dr. Lisa Campos said. "Based on this work, our four areas of focus are enhancing the student-athlete experience, creating a culture of excellence, establishing a growth-focused funding model and uniting the San Antonio community. Our former student-athletes are the most significant constituents in building current and future success. We need their support and we are calling on their leadership."

Through this program, UTSA letterwinners are able to connect and celebrate the rich tradition of Roadrunners across various sports, generations and geographic locations.

"Of the more than 126,000 graduates from UTSA, only 2,600 have earned the right to be a part of this select organization," Campos said. "Membership allows us to continue to support our entire letterwinners community, the current student-athletes and our University."
