WACO, Texas -- Graduate student Mariah Plauth (Florianopolis, Brazil) and Sophie Omoworare (Plano, Texas) earned singles wins but it wasn't enough as Baylor earned a 5-2 win over UTSA women's tennis, on Sunday evening at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
UTSA (11-12) wrapped up its two-match weekend with the loss at Baylor (7-18), with the Bears taking the doubles point and claiming wins on four of the singles courts.
Freshman Jasmin Starr (Templestowe, Victoria, Australia) fell to No. 61 Livia Kraus, 6-2, 6-3, on court No. 1, with UTSA also using Laura Cabrera (Barcelona, Spain), Kylee Kato (Kahului, Hawaii) and Charleen Tiwari (Perth, Australia) in singles.
Junior Diya Menon (Plano, Texas) teamed with Plauth in doubles.
The match concludes the regular season for the Roadrunners, who return to action on Thursday, April 18-22 at the Conference USA Championships in Houston.
