SAN ANTONIO -- The UTSA football team wrapped up a spirited two-hour workout in the first of 15 spring practice sessions, on Monday morning on the Roadrunners campus.

UTSA return to the practice field on Wednesday and Friday, in addition to other spring practice dates include March 25, 27 and 29; April 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 17 and 19.

The spring practice season will conclude with the ninth annual UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game, which will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Dub Farris Athletic Complex (8400 North Loop 1604 W). Admission and parking are free.
Under the direction of fourth-year head coach Frank Wilson, UTSA welcomes back 52 lettermen, including 18 starters — nine on offense, seven in defense and a pair of specialists.
The Roadrunners will open the 2019 season on Saturday, Aug. 31, against UIW at the Alamodome. Other home games on the slate include Army West Point (Sept. 14), UAB (Oct. 12), Rice (Oct. 19), Southern Miss (Nov. 16) and Florida Atlantic (Nov. 23).
Road contests include Baylor (Sept. 7), North Texas (Sept. 21), UTEP (Oct. 5), Texas A&M (Nov. 2), Old Dominion (Nov. 9) and Louisiana Tech (Nov. 30). In fact, UTSA will not leave the state of Texas until the Nov. 9 date with the Monarchs.
