BEAUMONT, Texas -- UTSA women's tennis got a 2-0 day from Kyle Kato (Kahului, Hawaii) and Charleen Tiwari (Perth, Australia) but Lamar posted a 4-3 win over the Roadrunners, on Thursday afternoon.
UTSA (2-3) got singles points from Kato and Tiwari, with Kato posting a 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 win in singles and teaming with freshman standout Jasmin Starr (Templestowe, Victoria, Australia) in a doubles win. Tiwari and freshman Sophie Omoworare (Plano, Texas) earned a doubles win.
UTSA will return to action on Friday, traveling to face Sam Houston State at 2 p.m. CT.
