Mikey Bielamowicz added to UTSA Baseball staff

SAN ANTONIO – Head coach Pat Hallmark announced the addition of new volunteer assistant coach Mikey Bielamowicz for the 2023 season.

"We are excited to have coach Bielamowicz join the program," Hallmark said. "He'll be working with both catchers and OFs along with running our camps. His energy and attention detail have already been impactful this fall."

Bielamowicz joins the Roadrunners with plenty of Texas baseball coaching experience under his belt. He spent the last two seasons as the assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at Texas Lutheran University, a NCAA Division III school in Seguin, Texas. With the Bulldogs, he oversaw all offensive strategies, including daily practice operations and hitting approach. Prior to TLU, he was the assistant coach and base-running coordinator at DII institution Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, for a year.

While pursuing his master's at Texas A&M-Kingsville, Bielamowizc was the assistant coach for the Javelinas for two years, primarily working with catchers, outfielders and hitters. With the Javelinas, he helped lead the team to their first NCAA DII College World Series in 2018. He earned his Master of Science in Kinesiology in 2019.

He was the volunteer assistant coach and camp director at Northeast Mississippi Community College, a NJCAA DII institution. Bielamowicz began his coaching career in the summer of 2016, as he was the assistant coach for the Palo Duro Dillas of the Great Southwest Collegiate League. His primary duties included running in game offense and working with position players.

The Groesbeck, Texas, native earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Pedagogy from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2016, where he was a pitcher and catcher for the Cru for four years and earned a senior co-captain appointment in his final season.
